Search engine optimization is not free. Of course, you’re not paying Google to show your listing, but getting a good listing takes work. On the frontend, it’s intensive work then, on the backend, it may take a long duration to show the results.
Paid internet marketing, whether through social media ads, Google Ads, email sends, etc. almost instant results (assuming you have a good campaign).
But it’s so much faster.
So why bother with SEO?
Off the top of my head, there’s two reasons
- When you manage to appear organically in search results, your ad tends to be More reliable than paid ads.
- The next reason – the best one in my opinion – is that you don’t have to continue to pay.
With Internet advertisements, the ads stop once you have stopped paying. On the other hand, your search engine optimized content shows up year after year as long as the page is live and long after you pay the person who created it.
I have pages that are almost unchanged for 15 years and they are always classified to attract visitors!
Aren’t you glad we’re content and SEO developer types do not charge royalties?
I recommend a healthy mix of both organic and paid Internet marketing for most local furniture retailers.
