The Norwegian striker has been turning heads in the footballing world since stepping onto the scene for Red Bull Salzburg and now Ferran Soriano has shared his delight at seeing Manchester City capture their prime target.
Soriano has been CEO of the Premier League Champions since 2012, overseeing major successes over the past ten years.
Due to City playing a false nine system for the past two seasons, Haaland will be their first striker since club legend Sergio Aguero, so expectations are high given the quality of his spell at Borussia Dortmund.
He played 87 games for the German club scoring 83 goals which is an extraordinary record.
Soriano was talk to the Dr. Football podcast about the big money signing and he mentioned how he thinks Haaland will break records saying, “I can say that (records will be broken).”
He continued: “The one thing I will say to all Manchester City fans, we will have to be patient. Anyone who comes into our team needs time.”
A slight concern amongst the supporters upon his signing was injury issues, Soriano responded by saying: “‘Obviously we’ve looked at that in detail and are confident he’s fit and can play at the level. maximum.
“It’s just the medical conversation and we’ve done all the checks we’ll do, and we’re confident.”
Time will tell if his injury record will catch up with him in his first season in the Premier League.
